How do candle-sand wicks work?
A short wick is inserted upright into loose wax pearls. When lit, the flame melts a limited area of wax around the wick. That melted wax fuels the flame while most of the surrounding pearls remain loose.
After extinguishing the flame, let the wax cool completely. The used wick and its hardened wax disc can then be removed according to the product instructions. Insert a fresh compatible wick into the remaining pearls for the next setup.
The separate refill currently contains twenty 2-inch organic cotton wicks. It does not include candle sand, a vessel or fragrance.

Use enough pearls for the chosen vessel
The vessel size determines how much sand it holds. Follow the current product guidance for fill level and required clearances rather than forcing a generic volume conversion.

Use the compatible wick supplied or listed
The current refill uses 2-inch cotton wicks for pearled sand-wax setups. Do not substitute a random wick size based only on the jar diameter.

Use one wick unless instructions support another setup
Multiple flames change heat and burn behavior. Follow the exact product instructions rather than assuming a wide vessel automatically needs several wicks.

Replace the wick after the usable section is spent.
Cool the candle completely before touching wax or moving the vessel.

Wait until the local wax pool and vessel are fully cool.

How do reusable candle wicks work?
The wick itself is consumable rather than indefinitely reusable. In candle sand, a short wick melts the wax immediately around it. After the flame is extinguished and the wax cools, the spent wick and hardened wax disc are removed, while the remaining loose wax pearls can be reset with a fresh wick. -
How much candle sand do I need?
The amount depends on the dimensions of the suitable heat-safe vessel and the fill clearances required by the product instructions. There is no reliable universal amount for every jar. Use the current candle-sand guidance and do not overfill or improvise with an unsuitable container. -
How many times can a candle-sand wick be reused?
Each short wick is a consumable burn component. Whether any usable wick remains depends on burn length and the product instructions; do not promise a fixed reuse count. The current refill provides twenty replacement 2-inch cotton wicks for continued setups. -
Do I buy candle sand and wicks separately?
The current $29.99 unscented candle-sand product includes wax pearls and wicks according to its listing. The separate $4.99 20-piece wick refill is for later replacement or an existing setup. It does not include candle sand, a vessel or fragrance. -
What size wick should I use for candle sand?
Use the compatible wick specified for the purchased candle-sand system. The current Aroma Paradise refill contains 2-inch cotton wicks designed for pearled sand-wax setups. Do not select a different wick only from a generic jar-width chart because wax, wick and vessel behavior work together. -
Is candle sand cheaper than buying jar candles?
Cost per use depends on how much wax is used, burn length, wick replacement and the comparison candle. Candle sand can reduce the need to buy a new decorative jar each time, but it is not honest to promise universal savings without measuring the recipient’s actual use. -
Can I use any jar with candle sand?
No. Use only a stable vessel suitable for candle heat and open flame, with the clearances required by the current product instructions. Decorative glass or bowls are not automatically candle-safe. Keep the setup away from drafts and flammable materials and never leave it unattended. -
Are the current candle sand and wicks scented?
The active Aroma Paradise candle-sand product is unscented, and the wick refill contains cotton wicks rather than fragrance. Do not add waterless fragrance oil to candle sand or wicks; waterless diffuser oil is intended for compatible diffuser hardware, not for improvised candle use.
