FAQs
-
How do I use Aroma Paradise room mist or toilet spray?
Shake the bottle well. Hold 12–18 inches from the target surface or mid-air and press the trigger with a sweeping motion to distribute an even light mist. For air: 2–3 sprays into the center of the room. For linens and upholstery: 1 light pass across the surface. For bathroom use (toilet spray): 2–3 sprays into the toilet bowl before sitting — the oils form a scent barrier on the water surface that traps odor. -
Is room mist safe to spray on fabric, linens, and upholstery?
Durable fabrics (cotton, linen, polyester): yes, hold 12+ inches away, light mist. Let dry 5–10 minutes before contact. Delicate fabrics (silk, leather, suede, velvet): spray indirectly into the air above the item — direct contact can water-spot or discolor. Always patch-test a hidden area (inside seam or behind cushion) and check after 24 hours before spraying the whole piece. -
How long does the scent from a room mist last?
In the air: 20–60 minutes depending on room size, ventilation, and fragrance profile (citrus fades fastest, woody and amber notes linger longest). On fabric and linens: 12–48 hours before needing a refresh. For continuous scent in a space, pair an initial mist spray with a cold-air diffuser or reed diffuser — mists are ideal for quick bursts, diffusers for ambient all-day. -
How does toilet spray actually work?
Toilet spray creates a thin film of essential oils on the water surface before you use the toilet. When odor molecules rise, the oil film traps and masks them — so the room smells like the fragrance profile, not the bathroom. Apply 2–3 sprays into the bowl 10–15 seconds before sitting. It's the polite adult version of a bathroom air freshener. -
Are room mists and sprays safe to use around kids and pets?
Aroma Paradise room mists are IFRA-compliant, phthalate-free, and formulated for home-air-freshening safety. Spray when kids and pets aren't immediately in the path, let the mist settle for 30–60 seconds, then let them back in the room. Avoid spraying directly on pet bedding or where pets sleep. Birds are extremely sensitive to airborne aromatics — never use in rooms with birds. Full safety guide.

Can I use room mist as a personal body spray?
No — room and linen mists are formulated for airborne and fabric use only, not skin contact. The fragrance concentration and carrier ingredients aren't tested for dermal safety. For direct skin use, choose our perfume body oils or an IFRA Category 5-compliant cosmetic-grade spray. Using a room mist as body perfume can cause skin irritation, especially on sensitive skin. -
Where should I store my room mist and how long does it last?
Store in a cool dark place between 65–85°F, upright, tightly sealed. Avoid bathrooms (humidity breaks down the emulsion), windowsills (UV), and car consoles (heat cycling). Shelf life: 18–24 months unopened, 12–18 months opened. Shake before each use — natural settling of fragrance and water-based components is normal and doesn't affect quality. -
What's the difference between a room mist, a linen spray, and a toilet spray?
Room mist: designed for airborne use, heavier fragrance load, neutralizes and scents whole rooms. Linen spray: gentler formulation safe for direct fabric contact (bed linens, towels, drapes). Toilet spray: designed specifically for pre-use application to toilet bowl water — the oil film traps odor before it rises. All three can overlap in function, but the formulation tuning is different for each intended surface. -
Can I refill or dilute my room mist?
Our room mists ship ready-to-use at the correct dilution — refilling isn't recommended because exact oil-to-base-to-emulsifier ratios are tuned per scent profile. If you want to DIY a refill: 97–99% distilled water + 1–3% fragrance oil (by weight) + a solubilizer like polysorbate 20 to prevent separation. Shake well before each use. A store-bought refill is simpler and more consistent.
