Aroma360 vs Pura: How the Two Systems Compare

AN INDEPENDENT COMPARISON

Two closed systems, and a third option.

Aroma360 and Pura get compared constantly, but they solve the problem differently: one is built around oil plans and bundled diffusers, the other around sealed smart vials in a plug-in. What they share is that the refill is decided for you. This page sets out how each is structured — and, since we make the third kind, is upfront that we have a stake in the answer.

HOW EACH ONE IS BUILT

The refill is the real difference.

Hardware gets the attention, but what determines your running cost and how much choice you have later is how the device is refilled.

AROMA360

Oil plans and bundles

Cold-air diffusers sold outright or bundled with an oil delivery plan, including financed arrangements. Refills come as their own oils, often on a recurring plan with a minimum term.

PURA

Sealed smart vials

A plug-in that takes proprietary sealed vials from Pura's partner fragrance brands. The device is inexpensive; the vials are the ongoing cost, and only Pura's vials fit the device as designed.

AROMA PARADISE

Open-bottle cold-air

Cold-air waterless diffusers that take standard waterless fragrance oil poured from an ordinary bottle. Any compatible oil works, ours included, and nothing is on a plan.

To be explicit about one thing: our oils are for open-bottle cold-air waterless diffusers. Pura's smart vials are sealed proprietary cartridges and our oils are not a refill for them. If you own a Pura and want to keep using it, buy Pura's vials — this page is about understanding the differences, not about persuading you your device takes something it does not.

The structural differences, plainly.

THE COMMITMENT SIDE

What Aroma360 publishes about its terms.

Included because commitment is the main practical difference people ask about. Summarised from their published policy with the date checked. We do not reproduce Pura's terms here — check their site directly for those.

Per Aroma360's published cancellation policy, checked 4 Aug 2026. Terms vary by the specific agreement and plan you signed up under. Check your own account and paperwork for the terms that apply to you.

Oil subscription minimum 30 days

Customers enrolled in an Oil Subscription or Scent Accents are required to maintain an active subscription for a minimum of 30 days.

Annual prepaid plan $547.30 / year

The annual prepaid plan is $547.30. That covers one 50ml oil shipped monthly for twelve months, or a 50ml diffuser plus a 50ml oil, depending on the option chosen.

Price excludes tax and shipping, and may differ by region, promotion, plan and the date you enrolled.

Annual plan mid-term exit Not available

Aroma360 states that prepaid subscriptions are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled mid-term. Deliveries can be paused by contacting their customer service team.

VIP Bundle term 36 months

The Free Diffuser with Oil Deliveries promotion is financed. After the initial 30-day window, financed customers are subject to a 36-month payment obligation under their financing arrangement.

Exit after 30 days Wind-Down Process

To exit after the first 30 days but before the term completes, the customer pays an early termination balance equal to the MSRP of the diffuser and oils delivered to date, minus payments received to date. This can be settled as a lump sum or by continuing the original payment schedule.

THE OPEN-BOTTLE OPTION

Oils that pour from an ordinary bottle.

Made for cold-air waterless diffusers. No cartridge, no plan, no minimum. Compatibility depends on your device, so check yours before ordering.

Prices shown exclude tax and shipping and may vary.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Comparison questions we get.

Can I use Aroma Paradise oils in a Pura device?

No. Pura's smart vials are sealed proprietary cartridges designed to be used as supplied, and our oils are not a refill for them. Our oils are made for open-bottle cold-air waterless diffusers, where oil is poured into the device. If you own a Pura and want to keep using it, buy Pura's own vials.

Can I use Aroma Paradise oils in an Aroma360 diffuser?

Often, yes, because many of their diffusers are cold-air waterless units that take standard waterless fragrance oil. It depends on your specific model and how it is filled — some use pods rather than an open reservoir. Check the compatibility page for your model before ordering rather than assuming.

Which is cheaper to run?

It depends on usage and on which arrangement you are in, so a single figure would oversimplify it. The structural difference is that both of the others tie the refill to their own supply — one through plans, one through sealed vials — while an open-bottle diffuser lets you buy whatever compatible oil you like, whenever. Compare on price per ml over a year rather than on device price.

Which one covers a larger space?

Cold-air waterless diffusers generally cover more area than a small plug-in, and Aroma360 also offers HVAC-connected options for whole-home scenting. Coverage figures from any brand are approximate and depend heavily on room size, airflow, ceiling height and layout, so treat published numbers as a guide.

Are you affiliated with either company?

No. Aroma Paradise is independent and has no affiliation with, endorsement from or association with Aroma360 or Pura. We sell competing products, which is exactly why we have kept this page to structural differences and published facts rather than telling you which to buy.
