Less than most people expect, at least where the paperwork is concerned. On the date we checked, 72% of the sentences in Hotel Collection's published subscription policy were word-for-word identical to Aroma360's, including the 36-month financed term, the Wind-Down Process and the twelve-month warranty clause. Hotel Collection publishes a subscription policy that is substantially the same document as Aroma360's — on the date checked, 72% of its sentences were word-for-word identical, including the 36-month term, the Wind-Down Process and the warranty clause.
Hotel Collection's own published subscription policy refers to Aroma360 by name, stating that refunds for paid-in-full consumers are made in accordance with Aroma360's standard return policy, and that Aroma360 determines the MSRP of products delivered when an early termination balance is calculated.
Aroma360 classifies the VIP Bundle as a bundled product offering with its own terms, and states that it is not a subscription.
The Free Diffuser with Oil Deliveries promotion is financed. After the initial 30-day window, financed customers are subject to a 36-month payment obligation under their financing arrangement.
A customer may cancel enrollment in the promotion within 30 calendar days of delivery. All delivered products, including the diffuser and any oils, must be returned in original, undamaged and resalable condition.
To exit after the first 30 days but before the term completes, the customer pays an early termination balance equal to the MSRP of the diffuser and oils delivered to date, minus payments received to date. This can be settled as a lump sum or by continuing the original payment schedule.
Pausing or deferring oil shipments does not count toward satisfying the up-to-36-month term. Aroma360 states such interruptions may extend the term and may constitute a default under the financing agreement.
The diffuser carries a twelve-month warranty. A claim made in the first three months is replaced with a new diffuser similar to the one purchased. A claim made after three months is replaced with a refurbished diffuser.
This does not tell you anything about who owns what, and we make no claim about that. It tells you that switching between these two brands to obtain different subscription terms may not achieve what you expect, because the published terms largely match.
