Aroma360 vs Hotel Collection: How the Two Compare

AN INDEPENDENT COMPARISON

Two brands. Nearly one policy.

Aroma360 and Hotel Collection are compared constantly, usually by someone hoping one has friendlier terms than the other. We read both published policies side by side and found they are substantially the same document — and that Hotel Collection's own policy refers to Aroma360 by name. That is worth knowing before you treat one as an escape from the other. We sell competing oils, so weigh our view accordingly; the overlap itself is a matter of public record.

THE SHORT ANSWER

What is the difference between Aroma360 and Hotel Collection?

Less than most people expect, at least where the paperwork is concerned. On the date we checked, 72% of the sentences in Hotel Collection's published subscription policy were word-for-word identical to Aroma360's, including the 36-month financed term, the Wind-Down Process and the twelve-month warranty clause. Hotel Collection's own policy also names Aroma360 directly. So if you are choosing between them to get different terms, the published terms are largely the same on both sides.

  • 72% of Hotel Collection's published policy sentences match Aroma360's exactly.
  • Hotel Collection's policy states refunds follow Aroma360's standard return policy.
  • Both describe the same 30-day window and the same Wind-Down Process after it.

WHAT BOTH POLICIES SAY

The terms you would be choosing between.

The first two items are drawn from Hotel Collection's own published policy; the rest from Aroma360's. Each carries the source it came from and the date it was checked.

Hotel Collection's published terms Largely the same document

Hotel Collection publishes a subscription policy that is substantially the same document as Aroma360's — on the date checked, 72% of its sentences were word-for-word identical, including the 36-month term, the Wind-Down Process and the warranty clause.

Whose policy applies Names Aroma360 directly

Hotel Collection's own published subscription policy refers to Aroma360 by name, stating that refunds for paid-in-full consumers are made in accordance with Aroma360's standard return policy, and that Aroma360 determines the MSRP of products delivered when an early termination balance is calculated.

How it is classified Not a subscription

Aroma360 classifies the VIP Bundle as a bundled product offering with its own terms, and states that it is not a subscription.

VIP Bundle term 36 months

The Free Diffuser with Oil Deliveries promotion is financed. After the initial 30-day window, financed customers are subject to a 36-month payment obligation under their financing arrangement.

First 30 days Cancel and return

A customer may cancel enrollment in the promotion within 30 calendar days of delivery. All delivered products, including the diffuser and any oils, must be returned in original, undamaged and resalable condition.

Exit after 30 days Wind-Down Process

To exit after the first 30 days but before the term completes, the customer pays an early termination balance equal to the MSRP of the diffuser and oils delivered to date, minus payments received to date. This can be settled as a lump sum or by continuing the original payment schedule.

Pausing deliveries Does not count toward term

Pausing or deferring oil shipments does not count toward satisfying the up-to-36-month term. Aroma360 states such interruptions may extend the term and may constitute a default under the financing agreement.

Diffuser warranty 12 months

The diffuser carries a twelve-month warranty. A claim made in the first three months is replaced with a new diffuser similar to the one purchased. A claim made after three months is replaced with a refurbished diffuser.

This does not tell you anything about who owns what, and we make no claim about that. It tells you that switching between these two brands to obtain different subscription terms may not achieve what you expect, because the published terms largely match.

SIDE BY SIDE

Where they actually do differ.

Branding, scent catalogue and hardware naming genuinely differ. The commitment structure is where the published documents converge.

IF YOU ARE CHOOSING BETWEEN THEM

Three things worth doing first.

READ ONE, READ BOTH

Compare the actual documents

Both publish their subscription policies openly. If you are picking one for its terms, read both pages before deciding rather than assuming they differ.

CHECK FOR FINANCING

Establish what you would sign

Both describe a promotion where a diffuser is bundled and may be financed over up to 36 months, and describe it as not being a subscription. Know which you are agreeing to.

OR SKIP THE QUESTION

Buy oil without a plan

Most cold-air waterless diffusers take standard waterless fragrance oil. If you already own a device from either brand, you may not need to be on anyone's plan at all.

THE THIRD OPTION

Hotel-inspired scents, bought outright.

Our range is built around the same hotel-lobby scent profiles people go to both of these brands for — sold by the bottle, with no plan, no term and nothing that renews. Check compatibility with your diffuser first.

Prices shown exclude tax and shipping and may vary.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions about the two.

Are Aroma360 and Hotel Collection the same company?

We make no claim about ownership and have not verified any corporate relationship. What we can say is what both companies publish: on 5 August 2026, 72% of the sentences in Hotel Collection's published subscription policy were word-for-word identical to Aroma360's, and Hotel Collection's own policy names Aroma360 — stating that paid-in-full refunds are made in accordance with Aroma360's standard return policy. Draw your own conclusions from their published documents.

Is one easier to cancel than the other?

Based on the published policies, the mechanisms described are largely the same: a 30-day cancellation and return window on the bundled promotion, and after that a Wind-Down Process requiring an early termination balance to be settled. If you are switching from one to the other expecting easier exit terms, read both policies first. The terms that bind you are the ones in the agreement you personally signed.

Do the scents differ between them?

The catalogues and branding are genuinely different, and that is a real basis for preferring one. The commitment structure is where the published documents converge. If scent is what you are choosing on, that is a fair reason to pick either — just do it knowing the terms are not the differentiator.

Can I use Aroma Paradise oils in a diffuser from either brand?

Often, yes — many of their diffusers are cold-air waterless units that take standard waterless fragrance oil, which is what we make. It depends on your specific model and how it is filled, since some use pods rather than an open reservoir. Check the compatibility page for your model before ordering rather than assuming.

Are you affiliated with either of them?

No. Aroma Paradise is independent and has no affiliation with, endorsement from or association with Aroma360 or Hotel Collection. We sell competing fragrance oils, which is exactly why this page sticks to what both companies publish about themselves rather than offering our opinion of them.
